LVHN appoints chairholders

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) has released the names of the three new holders of endowed chairs. The following have been appointed chair holders: Michael Pasquale, M.D., chair, department of surgery, Anne C. and Carl R. Anderson Distinguished Chair in Surgery; Anne Panik, R.N., senior vice president, patient care services, Peggy Fleming Endowed Chair in Nursing; Alex Rosenau, D.O., senior vice chair, department of emergency medicine, Auxiliary of Lehigh Valley Hospital Endowed Chair in Emergency Medicine.

These chairs, which are rare at community teaching hospitals, support education and research in specific fields of medicine. LVHN currently has 13 chairs which are made possible through the generosity of donors including the Dorothy Rider Pool Health Care Trust, the Auxiliary of Lehigh Valley Hospital and community members. The cost of funding a chair is $2 million.
