Kristin Chenoweth replaces McPhee for Zoellner Arts Center's 'Gala2012'
Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will replace Katharine McPhee, who had to withdraw for medical reasons, for "Gala2012," Oct. 20, Zoellner Arts Center, Lehigh University, Bethlehem.
Broadway, television and film star, Chenoweth is remembered for her show-stealing performance in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" and originated the role of Glinda the Good Witch in "Wicked."
Chenoweth was most recently seen on Broadway as Fran Kubelik in the revival of "Promises, Promises."
She appears in CBS's "The Good Wife" and the recent movie,"Hit and Run."
On TV, she has been on "Pushing Daisies," "The West Wing," "Glee," "Frasier" and "Ugly Betty."
On screen, Chenoweth has appeared in "Deck the Halls," "Bewitched" and "The Pink Panther."
Chenoweth has had sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Opera House. She has sung with The New York Philharmonic, Boston Pops, National Symphony Orchestra, and at the Washington National Opera's 50th Anniversary Gala.
