Bethlehem diving teams hope to surprise

Liberty and Freedom diving coach Jeff Zettlemoyer is returning most of his Hurricane divers from last year, while inaugurating new divers for the Patriots.

While Liberty will only have two male divers, Bryan Rivera and Alex Caccamo, two female divers will compete for the boys, as allowed by PIAA rules.

Victoria Carter, Rachael Steiner, Brenna McCormack, Regan Morrison, Samantha Kincaid, and Kim Fetter are Liberty's female varsity divers.

"Their strengths are their ability to start doing upper degree of difficulty dives. That's what usually wins meets," said Zettlemoyer.

Rounding out the Hurricanes' roster are Hannah Grinchuk, Richard Becaires, Corey Moffo, Halle Rampulla, Evan Williams, Rachel Finn, Delaney Davis, Sai Makrouse and Brianna Medina.

Freedom's only returning diver is Kaycee Stoudt.

"I'm hoping she does well in the 11-dive meet and districts," Zettlemoyer said.

Rounding out the Patriots' roster is Sean Watlington, John McGinty, Andrew Umstead, Madison Donatelli, Megan Shupp, Missy Briggs and Rachel Giles.

"On the whole, they're quick learners. We may have some surprises there," said Zettlemoyer.
