Breslin at odds with township board

Tuesday, March 14, 2017 by Bernie O’Hare Special to the Bethlehem Press in Local News

In 2016, Pat Breslin was president of Bethlehem Township’s Board of Commissioners. This year, he started out as vice president. But at the March 8 meeting, he stepped down from that position, and Tom Nolan was immediately and unanimously installed as the new vice president.

Breslien alienated fellow commissioners in a recent WAEB-790AM radio talk show appearance in which he slammed them over matters for which he himself had voted. He has also thrown a monkey wrench into controversial plans for a retirement community at Green Pond with statements calling it a “done deal.” This left the board with little choice but to hire an outside hearing examiner to decide the matter.
