Libera C. Evans, 96, of Bethlehem, died Feb. 28, 2017. She was a daughter of the late Diamante and Jeannette Casaccio. She was the wife of the late Rev. W. Murray Evans.

She was a scholarship recipient at the Academy of Vocal Arts, Philadelphia.

She worked for more than 25 years at Moravian College. She sang both professionally and avocationally for more than 60 years. She sang with the First Presbyterian Church; Christ U.C.C. Church; the former First Church of Christ, Scientist Church; Lehigh University Choral Union; I Paesani and the Bach Choir after moving to Bethlehem in 1964.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem.

She is survived by four daughters, Jeannette M. and her husband Clinton Raynes of Kansas, Ellen V. Evans of Virginia, Faith A. and her husband Dana Jorgensen of Connecticut and Carol J. Evans of Colorado; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Dr. John M. Evans; a daughter, Hope G. Evans; and two grandchildren, Jeremy C. Raynes and Elizabeth A. Jorgensen.
