Bethlehem Catholic wrestlers have kept busy over the summer with national events, as several Golden Hawks wrapped up a dual meet tournament at the Disney Duals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Florida recently.

Ryan Anderson, Luca Frinzi and Niko Camacho were part of Team MAWA (Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association), who reached the finals but fell to Young Guns wrestling club (from western Pennsylvania) 24-24 on criteria.

The event featured 103 teams from 20 states, as top wrestlers from across the country participated in the event.

Becahi’s trio had a dominating outing, as Frinzi finished the tournament 11-0. Anderson went 8-2 and Camacho went 7-1.

Frinzi will also compete at Cadet and Junior Nationals in Fargo, ND from July 15-22.

Other Hawks competing in Fargo include Dillon Murphy, Nate and Matt Lackman and Kenny Herrmann.

“Those guys will head out to Pitt Johnstown for a week of camp before heading to Frago,” said Becahi head coach Jeff Karam. “It’ll be a great opportunity for them to wrestle against elite competition.”
