Bethlehem Sports Camps is offering a softball camp and a baseball camp for players, ages 7-15, this July.

The softball camp will run July 17-21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Freedom High School softball field.

The camp will be conducted by Freedom High School softball coach Nora Borger, Liberty High School softball coach Sam Carrodo, and Lehigh Carbon Community College softball coach Jenn Shellhammer.

Midweek, Freedom’s softball team is hosting a fundraiser, in order to raise money for gear and equipment for the team, at P.J. Whelihan’s, High Point Blvd. & Schoenersville Rd., Bethlehem. On July 19, patrons who mention Freedom softball will have 15 percent of their check donated to the Patriot softball booster club. This will include takeout.

The baseball camp will run July 24-28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the City Line Baseball Little League fields.

The camp will be conducted by Freedom High School baseball coach Nick D’Amico, Liberty High School baseball coach Andy Pitsilos, and Bethlehem Summer Camps director Joe Stellato.

Both the baseball and softball camps will provide instruction on fundamental skills and strategies, including hitting, pitching, catching, fielding, and base running.

The cost for each camp is $85, and each camper will receive a T-shirt, an individual evaluation sheet, and unlimited Gatorade.

Registration can be completed at bethlehemsportscamps.com.

Later this summer, Freedom’s softball team will host its annual golf outing on Aug. 26 at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

The cost is $95 per golfer or $380 per foursome, which includes golf, dinner, and a chance to win a 2017 Camaro and other prizes.
