Hanover’s girls’ summer swim team opened its meet against Soleco with a victory in the 8 & under 100 free relay, and ended its meet with a victory in the crescendo relay on July 10 at Hanover.

Audrey Bloss-Ferry, Tegan Evans, Scarlet Posavek, and Leah Onia combined to win the free relay with a time of 1:24.31.

In the 15 & over 50 free, Kendra Smith placed first with a time of 29.56.

Anna Lehr, Natalie Richardson, Sabrina Krotzer, and Samantha Taylor later teamed up to win the 13 & over 200 medley relay with a time of 2:13.47.

Bloss-Ferry took first in the 8 & under 25 breaststroke with a time of 27.47, and Natalie Brezinsky won the same event in the 9-10 division with a time of 21.25.

In the 13-14 age group, Talia Lehr came in first in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 40.97, and in 15 & over, Richardson won the same event with a time of 38.69.

Morgan Muller took first place in the 11-12 100 IM with a time of 1:22.09, Talia Lehr won the 13-14 100 IM with a time of 1:19.07, and Taylor was first in the 15 & over 100 IM with a time of 1:12.32.

In the 8 & under 25 butterfly, Evans came in first place with a time of 26.05, and Katie Bruno won the same event for age 9-10 with a time of 18.89.

Sarah Park won the 11-12 50 fly with a time of 33.35.

“The start determines how well you’re going to swim. The way you start is the way you finish. My kick was nice today. It was easier to breathe,” said Park, who additionally competed in the backstroke, medley relay, and crescendo relay.

Monica Bruno competed in the same age group as Park, but in the 100 IM, butterfly, backstroke, and medley relay.

“My IM was pretty good. I sprint the whole thing. I get kind of tired near the end. I try not to [look at the lane next to me], but sometimes it makes me go faster,” Bruno said.

Onia placed first in the 8 & under 25 backstroke with a time of 22.92, and Anna Lehr placed first in the 15 & over 50 backstroke with a time of 33.71.
