Arlene G. Beginnes, 1947 LHS graduate

Arlene G. Beginnes, 88, of Bethlehem, died August 5, 2017. Born in Hackensack, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Roy and Emily (Frankenfield) Geisinger. She was the wife of the late John M. Beginnes for 58 years.

She was a 1947 graduate of Liberty High School.

She was employed by the Bethlehem Steel and then by Western Electric.

She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.

She was active with the Girl Scouts for many years.

She is survived by four daughters, Diane Phalen of Allentown, Linda and her husband Ray Kruse of Buffalo, Ky., Mary and her husband George Woytko of Danielsville and Anne Bivans of Whitehall.

She was predeceased by a brother, Roy Geisinger; a sister, Mary Hardenberg; and a son-in-law, W. Scott Bivans. Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements were made by Connell Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
