Armando Patino, coke works employee

Armando Patino, 93, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 7, 2017, at Holy Family Manor. Born in Sulphur Mine, La., he was a son of the late Lorenzo and Carolina (Gomez) Patino. He was the husband of the late Antonia V. (DeLeon) Patino.

He worked for the Bethlehem Coke Works for 33 years until he retired in 1986.

He was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church.

He was a member of the Steelworkers Union local #2599.

He is survived by three children, Carolyn (Nina) and her husband George Roman, Antoinette and her husband Keith Strunk and A. David and his wife Wanda; five grandchildren, Erik, and Jordan Roman, Kyle and Kevin Strunk and Taylor Patino; three siblings, Natalia Torres, Estela Trevino and Enriqueta Bres; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by two siblings, Homero Patino and Elena Vera.
