Finance meeting done in minutes

Tuesday, November 28, 2017 by Heather Nigrone Special to the Bethlehem Press in Local News

The Nov. 13 meeting of the BASD finance committee was wrapped up in record time, lasting only about seven minutes, with all agenda items being recommended for vote at the regular November meeting.

The longest discussion was in regards to the replacement of a Northampton Community College trustee, José Rosado, who is unable to complete his term through 2018.

A new candidate had to be selected, and the board chose Dr. Dean Donaher, a current BASD director. Donaher will now face an election within all of the college’s sponsoring school districts. Each district will be required to vote on the candidate, and must submit a decision, including a formal tabulation of all votes, to the college.
