Freedom’s swim team, headed by new coach Will Berisha, will include 15 boys and 14 girls for the 2017-2018 season.

Junior, Al Bell, will be returning as the defending district champion in the 500 free for the Patriots.

The boys’ team is rostering three returning seniors, Colin Burnette, Jack Runco, and Spencer Smith, and one new senior, Griffin Connelly.

Other juniors, in addition to Bell, are Paras Chand, Jared Franges, Dominic Fresoli, Shawn Higgins, Jack Rosen, Sahil Shah, and Nikunj Singh.

Newcomers include freshmen Shivam Chand, Daniel Connell, and Eric Mann.

The girls’ team has only one senior, Linda Mao, who is a returner.

Juniors on the girls’ team are Shannon Connelly, Leigha Evans, Emily Justice, Fatema Kitabwalla, and Alexandria Koehl.

Sophomores are Grace Christiansen, Sage Hillier, Elena Hume, Erin Madden, Hallie Smith, and Fallon Tatlow.

As with the boys’ team, the girls’ team will also roster three freshmen, Abigail Burnette, Cailin Connelly, and Sarah Gill.

Freedom’s first dual swim meet is scheduled for Dec. 12 against Nazareth.
