LHS girls beat CCHS

Liberty’s girls’ swim team scored a 103-77 victory over Allentown Central Catholic in its first meet of the new season last Tuesday at Liberty.

The Hurricanes had a large share of first place finishes in individual events after Anna Lehr, Natalie Richardson, Samantha Taylor, and Greta Stuckey opened the meet with a first place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:58.68.

Lehr then won the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:04.83, as well as the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:03.52.

Taylor won the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.87, and Stuckey won the 50 free with a time of 27.22.

Abby Mack took first place in the 100 free with a time of 57.53.

Kay Wetmore also had a first place finish in the 500 free with a time of 5:34.55.

Madison Drager, Richardson, Sabrina Krotzer, and Mack teamed up to win the 200 free relay with a time of 1:48.03.

Although Central Catholic took first place in diving, the Hurricanes placed second, third, and fourth, earning nine team points for Liberty.

Cara Kyukens came in second with a score of 166.70, Leahanna Sine placed third with a score of 121.75, and Alicia Valladares was fourth with a score of 117.90.
