Joseph “Sam” Midash, OLPH church member
Joseph “Sam” Midash, 91, of Bethlehem, died after a long illness on Sept. 23, 2018, at home. Born in McAdoo, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Galik) Midash. He was the husband of Dorothy (Ornowski) Midash for 70 years.
He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation until he took retirement in 1989.
He was a member of the VFW, Post #15040.
He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Gary and his wife Dorothy of Bethlehem; a sister, Elizabeth McDonald of Tulsa, Okla.; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, John; a sister-in-law, Mary Midash of Newark, Del.; and a brother-in-law, James McDonald of Tulsa, Okla.
