Fermin first as LHS boys edge Emmaus

Liberty’s boys’ cross country team edged out Emmaus, 27-28, last Tuesday during the Hurricanes’ home meet at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course.

Darlyn Fermin and Cole Frank had a one-two finish with times of 16:09 and 16:37, respectively.

Emmaus scored the next two places, followed by Freedom’s Nick Bauer whose time was 16:55.

Liberty’s Ryan Wycherley was sixth with a time of 17:04, and teammates Paul Jensen placed 10th in 17:25, and Philip Bezas placed 11th in 17:31.

Freedom’s Alex Heidmann finished in 12th place in 17:38, and Patriot teammate Josh Noel was 15th in 17:44.

Liberty’s Casey Frank was 18th in 18:00, and Freedom’s Christian Jancsarics was 19th.

The Hurricane boys also defeated Allentown Central Catholic, 15-47, and Whitehall, 15-49.

Freedom’s boys defeated Central Catholic, 18-43, and Whitehall, 15-48, but lost to Emmaus, 18-42.

Becahi’s boys lost to Whitehall, 28-29, Emmaus, 15-50, and Central, 22-37.
