Indoor track competing

Bethlehem Catholic and Liberty’s track and field teams competed at the Robert J. Burdette Indoor Classic on Dec. 26 at Lehigh University.

In boys’ events, Devon West (L) placed 13th in the 200 meter dash in 24.51, and Josiah Kelly (BC) was 25th in 24.94. Allen McDuffie (L) placed 25th in the 400 meter dash in 59.79.

In the 800 meter run, Ryan Wycherley (L) placed 11th in 2:10.06, and Francis Abi-Daher (BC) placed 30th in 2:45.74.

Phillip Bezas (L) came in 22nd in the one mile run in 5:19.27, and Jacob Orrico was 11th in the 3,000 meter run.

In the 60 meter hurdles, Christian Tackett (L) took second place in 8.69. His time is sixth best in the state.

Bobby Kulp (BC) won the high jump with a 6-03, and Daeshawn Teague (L) was fifth with a 5-08.

Teague also placed third in the triple jump with a 41-04.50. Michael Donchez (BC) placed 10th in the same event with a 35-08.25.

In the shot put, Trevor Harris (L) came in third with a 42-07.50.

In girls’ events, Gabrielle Phillips (L) came in 11th in the 200 meter dash in 28.26.

Emily Jobes (L) placed ninth in the 800 meter run in 2:39.43, and Kaitlyn Murphy (L) was eighth in 6:14.44 in the one mile run.

In the high jump, Victoria Gilbert (L) was 14th with a 4-02.00.

Emma Pfeiffer (BC) came in seventh in the pole vault with a 9-00.00, and in the shot put, Davis placed fourth with a 34-09.00, and Maddie Wickel (BC) was ninth with a 25-03.00.
