Boscola announces bridge grant
State Sen. Lisa M. Boscola has announced the approval of a $219,640 Multimodal Transportation Fund grant to Lower Saucon Township to replace the Lower Saucon Road Bridge.
“I am pleased that state dollars will be used toward this project that will enhance safety in Lower Saucon Township,” Boscola said. “Assisting municipalities improve the flow of traffic and enhance safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians helps keep the Lehigh Valley a great place to live,” Boscola continued.
The multimodal project will allow Lower Saucon Township to proceed with the replacement of the Lower Saucon Road Bridge, a two-lane culvert-style bridge.
Funding for the project was approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The Multimodal Transportation Fund was created as part of Act 89 to promote economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available throughout the commonwealth.
