Just looking for a place to cool off

Police report an unwelcome but gentle guest made himself comfortable in the Cloverleaf Street neighborhood over the weekend. Apparently as eager to cool off from the blistering sun as we two-legged folks, a black bear crossed through a number of yards, climbing over fences to take a dip in a resident’s pool. Police Chief Mark DiLuzio said in a statement, “The skinny-dipping bare - I mean “bear” - was corralled by Bethlehem officers and Pennsylvania Game Commission officers in a yard. The bear was tranquilized and happily relocated to North Central Pennsylvania, where pools are called swamps and there are hundreds of acres of woodland for the bear to roam. The young bear was uninjured in this incident. Thank you to all the Bethlehem officers, game commission officers and citizens who helped in this incident and brought it to a successful conclusion.”
