Northwest competes in ABE Championships

Northwest Swim Team competed in the ABE Championships on July 27 at Stones Crossing in its last meet of the summer swim season.

Northwest placed 10th out of 12 teams, and Kaybrook was the overall winner.

Northwest swimmers who had top finishes included Windsor Reiss, who took sixth place in 13 & over diving with 111.50 points.

Corbin Eisenhardt came in fifth in the 13-14 50 freestyle in 29.51, third in the 13-14 50 butterfly in 34.84, and fifth in the 50 breaststroke in 40.89.

Abby Mack placed fourth in the 15-18 50 fly in 32.31 and Greta Stuckey was fifth in 33.79.

Mack took second place in the 15-18 100 IM in 1:12.21.

Adam Barlow, Cole Daignault, John Cornish, and Nick Muniz teamed up to place sixth in the 12 & under 200 medley relay in 3:07.06.

In the 8 & under 25 freestyle, Sophie Terry placed fourth in 20.02, and Sarah Barlow was seventh in the 11-12 50 free in 33.05.

In the 8 & under 25 butterfly, Estella Mikovich came in third in 23.49 and Sophie Terry was sixth in 23.96.

Adam Barlow placed third in the 9-10 25 fly in 18.34.

Sophie Terry was fourth in the 8 & under 25 backstroke in 25.81, Alexandra Yerk was seventh in 26.03, and Estella Mikovich was eighth in 26.09.

Elizabeth McClarin placed seventh in the 9-10 25 back in 21.85, and Lilah McClarin was eighth in the 11-12 50 back in 43.80.

John Cornish placed seventh in the 11-12 50 back for the boys in 44.07.

In the 8 & under 25 breaststroke, Estella Mikovich took third place in 25.91. Adam Barlow also took third place in 9-10 with a time of 22.27.
