Chesterbrook Academy: Campers deliver books

Summer campers at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool-High Point Boulevard campus, Bethlehem, recently delivered more than 500 books to the Cops ‘n’ Kids Children’s Literacy Program.

The campers held a monthlong book drive to benefit the program’s Reading Room. The campers learned the importance of helping children in need. The reading room, at Northampton Community College, 511 E. Third St., is open to the public. It provides a place for children and families to read together, share stories and select a free book to take home.

Cops ‘n’ Kids ensures that every child has access to books, encourages positive relationships between children and police, and inspires creative learning for children and families by providing meaningful literacy-based experiences.
