Liberty girls soccer picks up three wins
Liberty’s girls’ soccer team won three consecutive games last week, defeating Allen, 7-1, Dieruff, 5-1, and Northwestern Lehigh, 1-0.
In the Hurricanes’ game against Northwestern Lehigh on Saturday, Catherine Kelly scored the game-winning goal in overtime.
In the Hurricanes’ game against Dieruff, Kathryn Wescoe scored two goals in the first half, and Lindsey Heffernan scored one. Heffernan scored again in the opening minutes of the second half, and Kelly scored Liberty’s last goal two minutes later.
Assists were made by Alanysse Solomon, Caitlin Ohl, and Wescoe.
Liberty’s keepers, Destiny Deschamps and Sophia Albino, combined to make six saves.
Bethlehem Catholic defeated Allen on Friday, 10-1.
Goal scorers for the Hawks were Brooke Bisko, who had a hat trick, Tenley Irr, who had two goals, Marcela Banuelos, Mary Kate O’Reilly, Emma Pfeiffer, Teighan Boyle, and Sarah Knoble.
Earlier in the week, Freedom defeated the Hawks, 3-0.
