Council welcomes new appointees

The Environmental Advisory Board welcomed four volunteers as council appointees at the Dec. 7 meeting: Lynn Freyman Rothman, Elizabeth Behrend, Elisabeth Chichonski, Benjamin Guthrie, and Benjamin S. Felzer.

Ann McHale was appointed to the Bethlehem Revitalization and Improvement Authority.

Council will hold its reorganization meeting Monday, Jan. 6 at which times council officers will be elected.

Mark Cavotta urged that the city limit fireworks in consideration of the veterans like his mother, who suffers from PTSD. Army veteran Marilyn Kelly-Cavotta watched as her son read his prepared statement.

Councilors approved the 2020 budget and its several components such as the General Fund, the Water Fund, the Sewer Fund, the Golf Course Enterprise Fund, the Liquid Fuels Fund and other elements of the budget.
