EPC playoffs begin Friday

PPL Center to host semis, finals

The PPL Center will be the site of the EPC basketball semifinals and finals beginning on Monday night, Feb. 10.

EPC playoff action begins Friday with quarterfinal round action.

The championship games at PPL Center will be presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network and Service Electric Cable Television. The game schedule at the PPL Center will be as follows:

Monday, Feb. 10

Boys Basketball

6 p.m. – #2 seed vs. #3 seed

7:30 p.m. – #1 seed vs. #4 seed

Tuesday, Feb. 11

Girls Basketball

6 p.m. – #2 seed vs. #3 seed

7:30 p.m. – #1 seed vs. #4 seed

Thursday, Feb.13

6 p.m. – Girls Championship

8 p.m. – Boys Championship

Tickets for all three nights are on sale now at, the QNB Box Office at PPL Center, and by phone at 610-347-TIXX [8499]. General Admission adult tickets can be purchased for $7. Students (ages 18 & under) and senior citizens (ages 65 & over) can purchase tickets for $4. Children ages 4 and under are free but require a complimentary ticket for entry, which can be secured with the purchase of an adult ticket.

The District XI basketball tournament begins on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Opening round action scheduled for Friday is as follows:


(8) Easton at (1) Becahi 5 p.m.

(5) Northampton at (4) Freedom 6 p.m.

(6) PM West at (3) Stroudsburg 7 p.m.

(7) Parkland at (2) Nazareth 6 p.m.

The Becahi-Easton winner will meet the winner of NHS and Freedom in the 7:30 p.m. game on Feb. 11. The Stroudsburg-PM West winner plays the Nazareth-Parkland winner in the 6 p.m. game Feb. 11.


(8) Becahi at (1) Allen 7 p.m.

(5) Parkland at (4) Eastburg South 7 p.m.

(6) Easton at (3) Central 7 p.m.

(7) Freedom at (2) Liberty 7 p.m.

The Becahi-Allen winner takes on the winner of ESS-Parkland in the 7:30 p.m. game on Feb. 10. The Central-Easton winner plays the winner of FHS-LHS in the 6 p.m. game Feb. 10.
