Applicants for the spring 2017 semester at Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) may attend Express Registration Day, 2 - 7 p.m. Nov. 29, LCCC Donley Center, 718 W. Hamilton St, Allentown, and Dec. 1, LCCC main campus, Schnecksville, North Whitehall Township.

Attendees may complete placement testing, meet with an academic advisor, register for classes and complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Business Enterprise Center (BEC) celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week with several speakers through Nov. 17.

Presentations in Alumni Center or Room 15, Rothrock Library, main campus, Schnecksville, North Whitehall, feature entrepreneurs involved in the media, arts, food, retail, graphics, film, funding, fashion and patents.

LV home sales rebound 5.7 percent

Closed sales of houses in the Lehigh Valley rebounded in September after two straight months of declining closed sales, increasing 5.7 percent in September to 673, compared to 637 in September 2015, according to figures released by the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors (GLVR).

For the year-to-date, closed sales have increased 7.3 percent to 5,922 from 5,518 in 2015.

Pending sales again increased in double digits in September to 15.3 percent to 710 from 616 in September 2015.

Christine Talmage, MD, has joined St. Luke’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates’ Bethlehem office.

Talmage, native of Long Island, N.Y., received a degree in Biology from Lehigh University and a medical degree from New York Medical College.

Dr. John Wilson has been named Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at St. Luke’s University Health Network’s Anderson Campus.

Wilson, a Baltimore native, began his tenure at St. Luke’s as a resident and has worked at St. Luke’s since.
