Until further notice, we will no longer accept walk-in customers at our offices. We have taken this step in order to protect our employees and the general public from the possibility of exposing anyone to the COVID-19 virus.

We will be happy to accept phone calls, and you can make payments through the mail or through the mail slot in our door or electronically on our website at

Our offices will be staffed and in operation conducting business over the phone and through email during this crisis.

SVHS’s Koehler wins PAC competition

Glenn Koehler of Bethlehem won Pocono Arts Council’s The Earth Speaks VI: A Juried Exhibition on the Environmental Crisis photography award. The photo depicts a barren landscape and a wind and storm surge-battered McDonald’s sign just off the coast in Biloxi, Miss. The photo is part of the series, “Biloxi, Two Years After Katrina”.

David D. Roper, English teacher

David D. Roper, 82, of Bethlehem, died April 8, 2020, at his residence. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Donald and Grace (Williams) Roper. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Wright) Roper for 54 years.

He was an English teacher for East Penn School District for many years before retiring.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother-in-law, Lloyd Wright; and a niece, Lisa King.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family
