Michael S. Anthony, 94, of Bethlehem, died Aug. 31, 2012, at Alexandria Manor, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late George J. and Mary Anne (Bruno) Anthony. He was the husband of the late Mary T. R. Anthony for 62 years.
He worked for Bethlehem Steel, retiring after 43 years.
The third Bethlehem Conference on Moravian History and Music will take place Oct. 11 to 14 at Moravian College and Theological Seminary. There will be lectures, films, food and concerts.
The topics, related to Moravian history and music from the 15th to 20th centuries, include the sustainability of Moravian communities (coinciding with Moravian College's IN FOCUS theme for 2012-13), nineteenth-century Moravian history, the Ancient Unity and Comenius and Moravian composer Johannes Herbst.

"Spirituality and the Twelve Steps," 7- 9 p.m. Sept. 19, Bahnson Center of Moravian Theological Seminary, 60 W. Locust St., Bethlehem, is the latest in a once per semester seminar offered by the seminary's Office of Enrollment.
The seminar highlights the role of the 12 steps in the development of spirituality for the recovering person and its impact on the family.

Barbara A. White 63, of Bethlehem, died Aug. 28, 2012 in St. Luke's Hospital-Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late John F. Sr. and Mary (McQuay) Mackaravitz. She was the wife of Richard J. White for 46 years.
She was a production wirer for Eaton-Cutler Hammer for 20 years.

A resident in the 400 block of East Goepp Street reported unknown persons in the building around 3 p.m. Aug. 12.
According to police, the actors used a ladder from the property to scale the wall and enter a second-story window. A resident was home, however, and when this became clear the actor fled through a back door.
The resident did not observe the burglar and no items were stolen.

Freemansburg police arrested a 33-year-old woman for driving while intoxicated Sept. 1. According to police, an officer observed Erin Fleckenstein, of Hawthorne Road in bethlehem, swerving in and out of her lane and pulled her over. He immediately smelled a strong odor of alcohol.
Fleckenstein is charged with DUI.
