STATE 2020 fishing licenses available
The Commonwealth’s 2020 fishing licenses are on sale since December 1. Licenses and permits are valid up to December 31, 2020, and may be purchased at www.gonefishingpa.com, about 700 issuing agents, county treasurers’ offices and all PFBC regional offices.
Multi-year options, such as the trout/salmon or Lake Erie permits, are also available. Collectible pumpkin seed sunfish design buttons, customized with the angler’s individual license number, are not issued at the time of purchase and will be mailed to the buyer within 3-4 weeks.
A $1,500 donation was presented recently to Northampton Community College’s H.O.P.E. Food Pantry. The funds were contributed by Unity Bank employees and matched by the bank as part of a special annual holiday community service project that was started more than 10 years ago.
The Helping Our Peers Excel (HOPE) Food Pantry, staffed by volunteers, first opened for students in the fall 2016. The pantry, organized by the college’s Nursing Student Organization, provides students with non-perishable food items supplied by Second Harvest Food Bank.
Lindsay Brantingson, of Bethlehem, earned a degree in physical therapy, DPT and participated in the Misericordia University winter commencement ceremony Dec. 15.
