Joseph J. Dozpat Jr., 91, of Bethlehem, died March 29, 2013. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Joseph J. Sr. and Julia (Laczo) Dozpat. He was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Geld) Dozpat for 58 years.

He was in the U.S Army during World War II and served in the European Theatre from 1944 to 1946. Prior to his discharge, he served on a committee to benefit the United Nations Conference for International Organization.

E. Louise Auchenbach, 90, of Bethlehem, died April 2, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. She was born in Reading.

She was a graduate of Albright College and Columbia University.

She taught in the Wilson School District, West Lawn. She was a missionary teacher in Japan through the Women's Guild of the Evangelical and Reformed Church for more than 17 years.

She was a member of Christ Church U.CC., Bethlehem, where she coordinated Share Care and was a member of the Prayer Circle and the choir.

Raymond A. Allen Jr., 89, of Bethlehem, died April 1, 2013, in St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Raymond A. and Olive Mae (Nansteele) Allen Sr.

He was the husband of Beatrice M. (Messinger) Allen for 70 years.

He was an U.S Army veteran of World War II.

He was the owner/operator of Handyman's True Value Hardware Store, Allentown.

He piloted small engine planes. He was a member of a Masonic Lodge in Greenfield, Mass.

Michael D. Hobbs, 58, of Bethlehem, died March 30, 2013, after a long illness. Born in Bethesda, Md., he was a son of Wilson "Will" and Louise (Bailey) Hobbs of Clarksville, Md. He was the husband of Karen (Berg) Hobbs for 27 years.

He graduated from Atholton High School, Md. He earned an associate's degree in marketing from Columbia CC.

He was a security professional with his father's company, American Safe and Lock, Washington, D.C., and then at Safemasters, Md.

Leonard "Buddy " F. Russell Jr., maintenance worker

Leonard "Buddy " F. Russell Jr., 75, formerly of West Bethlehem and a resident of Holy Family Manor for the past nine years, died March 28, 2013. He was a son of the late Leonard and Kathryn (Deegan) Russell.

He worked in the maintenance department for 39 years at Holy Family Manor.

He was a former parishioner of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church.

George P. Takacs Jr., 65, of Bethlehem, died March 25, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenburg. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Anna (Popovich) and George P. Takacs Sr.

He was a Liberty High School graduate.

He is survived by a brother, Richard P. and his wife Denice Takacs of Bethlehem.

MaryLou Hart Tallarico, 62, of Bethlehem, died March 27, 2013. She was born in Ritchie County, W.V.

She earned a master's degree from Marshall University.

She was an assistant professor of Business Education at Parkersburg Community College. She later was an employee of Lehigh Valley Lawn and Garden Center, Hanover Township.

She is survived by by a daughter, Jennifer Hart Tallarico of Bethlehem; a son, Vincent James Jr., U.S. Air Force; a sister, Patty Hart Daggett of Parkersburg, W.V.; a brother, Paul Hart of Valdosta, Ga.; and the Tallarico fmily of Bethlehem.

Awilda Rivera, St. Paul's R.C. Church member

Awilda Rivera, 73, of Allentown, died March 26, 2013. Born in Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Cesario and Cruzita Rivera.

She was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters. Felicita Morales and Madeline and her husband Luis Vargas; two sons, Rene and his wife Wanda Morales and Xavier and his wife Maira Morales; a brother, Domingo Rivera; two sisters Cecilia Rivera, Carmen Cora; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by four brothers Cesario Jr., Carmen, Andre and Eduardo.

Edith B. Frantz, 95, formerly of Hellertown, died March 29, 2013, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Minnie (Luckenbill) Baer. She was the wife of the late Ralston E. Frantz.

She was a 1934 graduate of Liberty High School.

She worked for Bell Telephone of PA and Zollinger-Harned Department Store, Allentown, until she took retirement in 1979.

She was a member of Christ Church U.C.C.

She was active in the Saucon Valley Community Center.

Irene M. Chladni, 86, of Bethlehem, died March 25, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Victor Chladni.

She worked in food service at both the Hotel Bethlehem and the Bethlehem Club.

She was a member of the former Grace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a companion, Richard Cogorno; two sons, Victor and Peter Chladni; a daughter, Rosie Berger; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, John; two daughters Anna Gross and Margaret Carlest; and two sisters, Helen Rudolph and Marion Klotz.
