Harold S. Reemsnyder died Oct. 23, 2012, of complications from surgery for a malignant pancreatic lesion. He was the husband of Donna Reemsnyder.
He had earned Ph.D., PE, CEng, FASTM and FTWI degrees.
He was an officer in the 801st Engineer Aviation Battalion during the mid-1950's.
He was an international expert in the fatigue and fracture of structural metals and a principal scientist at Bethlehem Steel's Homer Research Laboratory.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Amy and her husband Gerard Blair; and a grandson, Peter Blair.
Michael Stafiniak, 81, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 22, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Herasim and Eva (Chocholak) Stafiniak. He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Uzick) Stafiniak for 46 years.
He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was an electrical mechanical engineer for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp., where he worked for 41 years.
He was a member of the American Legion in Coaldale, the Russian Club and the Coaldale Volunteer Fire Department.
Helen Skulteti, 95, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 17, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Anna (Felker) Huesz. She was the wife of the late John Skulteti.
In the 1960s, she and her husband owned and operated the Colonial Bar and Grill, Bethlehem.
She was a member of St. John's Windish Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, and was on the Altar Society.
She was a steward at the former St. John's Windish Club.
Richard R. Levan, 77, of Bethlehem Township, died Nov. 5, 2012. He was the husband of Anne (Nemith) Levan.
He was a U. S. Army veteran.
He worked for Neuweiler's Brewing Company and later for Steel Stone Manufacturing as an office manager.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kelly and her husband Richard Maderic and their sons, Jonathan and Matthew.
Arrangements were made by Long Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
Irene K. Nemeth, 86, died Oct. 9, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospice after a long illness. Born in Pringle, she was a daughter of the late Bruce S. Sr. and Katherine (Garbush) Kovaleski. She was the wife of the late William Nemeth.
She was a 1942 Liberty HS graduate. She attended Bethlehem Business College night school.
Judy "Chenaw" M. SantaMaria, 71, of Bethlehem Township, died Oct. 12, 2012, in her home. Born in Allentown and raised in Fullerton, she was a daughter of the late Roy A. and Mildred L. (Matthews) Freeman Jr. She was the wife of the late Peter V. SantaMaria for 48 years.
She was a 1959 graduate of Whitehall HS. She earned a degree in psychology from Moravian College.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bethlehem.
Mary Scheck, 96, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 15, 2012. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Anastasia Dacetski. She was the wife of the late Frank Scheck.
She is survived by two sons, Frank J. and his wife Judith and Donald M. and his wife Dianne, all of Bethlehem; a sister, Ann Teleky of Phillipsburg; four grandchildren, Thomas C., David M., and Jeffrey B. Scheck and Kerry B. Scheck-Cooper; and four great-grandchildren, Owen, Kailin, Kendall and Christian.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Steve Decetski.
Dorothy Ann Senick, 80, of Bethlehem Township, died Oct. 3, 2012. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Litchauer) Frisch. She was the wife of John J. Senick of Bethlehem Township for 50 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tama of Bethlehem and Lisa A. and her husband Kyle Kuester of Lower Saucon Township; a sister, Margaret and her husband Edward Astl of Northampton; a brother, Robert and his wife Anna Frisch of Allentown; nieces; nephews; and a grand-niece, Mia Senick.
Mary E. (Lawrence) Csicsek, 96, of Bethlehem died Oct. 9, 2012, in her home. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose (Biro) Lawrence. She was the wife of the late Charles "Chickie" M. Csicisek.
She worked for Laros Printery and, during World War II, for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. She worked for Western Electric for 25 years, retiring in 1976.
Johanna M. (Mondschein) Kocsis, 78, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 12, 2012, in her home. Born in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Alois and Hattie (Karner) Mondschein. She was the wife of the late Alex J. Kocsis for 53 years.
She worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. in the billing department and later worked for AD Computer.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
