Lower Saucon Township police arrested Alexander Hulett, 26, of Hellertown for alcohol-related driving offenses Nov. 4.
Police responded to a reported accident on Applebutter Road around 11:35 p.m. and found Hulett’s vehicle stuck on a rock off the road. Skid marks indicate Hulett lost control and hit a mailbox and stop sign. Officers determined he was intoxicated.
Hulett is charged with careless driving and DUI.
Police arrested Amin B. Taylor Nov. 16 after a warrant was issued for his failure to register as a sex offender in the city.
According to court records, Taylor, 33, received similar charges in Northampton County in 2014 and Berks County in 2013.
Taylor was unable to post bail and was remanded to Northampton County Prison.
Members of the Lehigh Valley DUI/Highway Safety Task Force and community partners will participate in the 2016 Thanksgiving Click It Or Ticket “Operation Safe Holiday” enforcement effort scheduled for Nov. 20 - Dec. 4, which includes the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
The mobilization is designed to maximize both day and nighttime seat belt use compliance by focusing on roadways with high numbers of unbelted crashes, injuries and deaths by initiating a combination of enforcement and public awareness activities.
Following the report of a man being stabbed by another on Evans Street, police arrested Edgar Rodriguez, 39, of Bethlehem, Nov. 13.
According to police, Rodriguez stabbed the victim twice in the leg around 1:55 a.m. The man was taken by friends to St. Luke’s University Hospital, where they provided officers with a description of the attacker.
Around 2:40 a.m. the three women who had assisted the victim to the hospital were at the 101 E. Broad St. 7-11 when Rodriguez entered.
Anthony Thomas Bova, 28, of Green Lane, was charged with allegedly possessing a small amount of marijuana and driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Cedar Crest Boulevard, Salisbury Township, Sept. 6. Charges were filed.
A resident in the 1400 block of East Susquehanna Street reported 4 p.m. Nov. 3 being scammed out of $1,800 by a software company to fix a computer remotely.
A business owner in the 1100 block of Bell Avenue said an unknown actor cashed two checks valued at $2,500 each in Florida from the business checking account. Police were notified 1:23 p.m. Nov. 3.
Police were called to the 1200 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard 10:49 a.m. Nov. 3 for a disturbance.
A resident in the 400 block of Rock Cliff Road reported damage to a door on the property 11:05 a.m. Nov. 4.
Trevor Elliot Dennie, 62, of Wescosville, was taken into custody and charged with allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and related offenses after a traffic stop for running a red light along Chestnut Street, north of Cedar Crest Boulevard, in Emmaus borough 10:50 p.m. Oct. 23. Charges were filed.
Aaron Loren Mitchell, 25, of Santa Fe, N.M., was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop on the Millcreek Spur at Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 2:27 a.m. Oct. 12. Charges were filed.
A resident in the 1100 block of Meadowbrook Circle reported 5:19 p.m. Oct. 20 an unknown actor went through a vehicle on the property. Nothing was taken.
A resident in the 2800 block of Edgemont Drive reported 1:40 p.m. Oct. 20 an unknown actor went through a vehicle on the property. Nothing was taken.
A resident in the 1000 block of Louise Lane reported 8 a.m. Oct. 20 an unknown actor went through a vehicle on the property. Nothing was taken.
An unidentified male removed two Polo shirts valued at $98.50 each from Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St. 5:06 p.m. Sept. 23. The male placed the two shirts into a Macy’s bag and ran out of the store. Police are investigating.
Belinda Stangherlin, 58, of Allentown, received a summary citation for retail theft after an alleged incident at 1240 S. Cedar Crest Blvd. 10:15 a.m. Sept. 28. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Reported by a resident in the 7300 block of Lazor Road, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors entered the residence through an unlocked door and removed various items between 12:45 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Sept. 16.
