Police arrested 23-year-old Justin Timko on a charge of driving while intoxicated around 12:45 a.m. Feb. 8.

According to police, Timko, of Little Gap Drive in Palmerton, struck a concrete wall on Prospect Avenue while driving his car. He is charged with DUI.

John Horn, 51, of Hecktown Road, was arrested after he allegedly crashed his car in the Sands Casino parking garage. He is charged with careless driving and DUI-highest rate of alcohol.

Homicide

Police are seeking public assistance in a homicide investigation.

Around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 26 officers arrived in West Broad Street's 2200 block at Scoobies strip club in response to an alleged shooting. They found Tyree Wimberly, 21, of Allentown, who was pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital two hours later.

Police have provided images of potential witnesses.

DUI

Police arrested 30-year-old Dennis Gardner following a car accident on West Fairview Street around 2:20 a.m. Jan. 20.

According to police, Gardner drove his car into a parked car and it was determined he'd been drinking. Upon arrest officers found a marijuana pipe on him.

Gardner, of West Goepp Street, is charged with DUI, careless driving and possession of paraphernalia.

Drunk

Police arrested one allegedly drunk man twice within one hour for general nuisance behavior the early morning of Jan. 11.

Police said Kyle McCauley, 23, of South Lynn Street in Fountain Hill, was drinking at Roosevelt's bar on East Elizabeth Avenue and for unspecified reasons punched a hole in a window. Officers arrived around 1:05 a.m. and charged him with disorderly conduct (fighting), criminal mischief and public drunkenness.

DUI

Police arrested 23-year-old Eric Vandiver on vehicle violations and drunken driving on West Third Street around 2 a.m. Jan. 24.

According to police, Vandiver, of Church Street in Hamburg, was pulled over for driving without his headlights and officers determined he was under the influence of alcohol.

Vandiver is charged with DUI, lighting required and driving without a license.

Thefts

Empoyees of the Chevrolet 21 dealership on Route 412 reported the theft of numerous truck tailgates around 11:15 a.m. Jan. 22.

According to police, some time over the Jan. 20 weekend six Chevrolet Silverado tailgates were removed from their vehicles. All were 2012 or 2013 models, and all but one included rear-view cameras near the handle.

The total value is estimated at $15,000.

Drug possession

Police arrested a 20-year-old man after discovering he had drugs on him around 12:40 a.m. Jan. 16.

According to police, Giovanni Echevarria, 20, of West Market Street, was observed asleep in his car at the 7-Eleven store on West Broad Street. He was allegedly intoxicated.

Police discovered one baggie of marijuana, $1,760 in cash and 74 bags of heroin in the car.

Echevarria is charged with public drunkenness and numerous possession infractions.

Robbery

A Lehigh University student reported he was robbed near Boyer and Summer streets around 12:30 a.m. Jan 20.

Police said the 22-year-old was approached by two black males weraing dark hoodies and bandanas covering their faces implied they were armed. They took the victim's bookbag, cellular phone, iPod and cash, and then fled north on Boyer Street.
