Lehigh Valley Conference officials had a chance to meet last week to discuss the future of the league and some clarity is now coming into focus. The league met on Monday in an emergency meeting to discuss the Mountain Valley Conference invitation of 10 of the league's schools, while excluding Bethlehem Catholic and Central Catholic.

Principal's and athletic directors met last Wednesday as well in a regularly scheduled meeting and all indicators point to the LVC staying intact with all...

The Hawks ousted Liberty in four games 25-20, 25-27, 25-21, 25-13, while Parkland also needed four games to break past a scrappy Emmaus squad en route to the finals during a 25-20, 27-25, 25-27, 25-18 result.

For Bethlehem Catholic head coach Jeff Koch, he feels that his team is peaking at the right time.

Freedom's refusal to look back at an early-season loss to Bethlehem Catholic resulted in a 4-2 Patriot victory over the Hawks last week.

"We were so focused, we forgot about the last game and pretended it was our first time playing them," said Freedom first baseman, Sam Cabrera.

Three runs in the second inning by the Patriots and top notch pitching from Emily Gundrum set the tone for Freedom's victory.

Outfielder, Kelsey Brandle, scored the Patriots' first run in the...

Bethlehem Catholic won its first round of Team District Tennis Playoffs, defeating Saucon Valley, 3-2 last Tuesday.

The Hawks were faced with a line-up change in most spots when its number one singles player, Kevin Hamilton, became sick during the school day.

"It was a nice match to win, being without our number one player," said Becahi coach George Harmanos.

Becahi's Stephen Rossi defeated Asturo Nakajima at number one singles, 6-3, 6-4.

At number two singles,...

"I'm pretty excited. The school record is 129, so I'm right up there where I want to be. [Parkland's Oksanna Wittbrodt and I] have been throwing discus quite awhile together, so I had to watch her in practice, and Whitehall too, who came in third," Hargrove said.

Bethlehem Catholic's Tyler Horton not only won a gold medal in the 300 intermediate hurdles at the LVC Track and Field Championships at Whitehall High School last Tuesday, but broke the meet record with a time of 38.71.
